![]() Insects-B-Gone is a cool mod which replaces most of the insects from the game with other creatures: Radroaches will be replaced with Molerats, Bloatflies with Eyebots and instead of Radscorpions you will see Yao Guais. However, the bad news is that there are a lot of other overgrown bugs that want to kill you, and if you have a fear of roaches, flies or scorpions, you might not have the most pleasant experience. I haven't yet completed the game, so I'm not 100% certain about this, but the good news is that so far I haven't encountered any spiders, so those suffering from arachnophobia don't need to worry about that. In order to make certain kinds of ammunition, you will still need to have skill perks like Gun Nut, Science, etc. Craftable Ammunition mod is a great solution for this problem, as it allows you to put all that junk that you've been collecting in your travels to good use and make ammo for your weapons. ![]() If your weapon isn't used by half of the Commonwealth villains, finding ammo for it can be pretty difficult, and the merchants might not have enough. How many times did you have to stop using your favorite weapon because you ran out of ammo for it? This could be a really big problem, specially in early parts of the game. And lastly, as you may have noticed, in the dialogue wheel you only get the short version of what your character is about to say after you install this mod, you will see the full version of the dialogue, which is far better (at least in my opinion). Secondly, the mod lets you select the desired dialogue option using the 1, 2, 3 or 4 buttons of your keyboard, which are much easier to reach than the arrow keys that set by default. For starters, it removes the dialogue wheel and replaces it with a good, old-fashioned list of dialogue options. Thankfully, I found this handy mod called Full Dialogue, which does a few very interesting things. I almost shot Dogmeat (and a few others less important settlers) because of it. One of the first things that bothered me when playing Fallout 4 on my PC was the dialogue wheel. Certain additions are designed to work off previous mods, so you will need to know if you already have the required one, or if you need to find it. This tool helps you install, uninstall, activate or deactivate mods, as well as enabling you to quickly see which mods you have installed. As you've probably already guessed, Fallout 4 Mod Manager is a mod that will give you an easy way to manage all the other mods that you want to use. ![]() You lose something when you get rid of these actors.Let's start out with the most useful tool to those interested in the items on this list. Even that annoys me though, since Paarth is originally voiced by none other than Mario himself. because at least you can use tools to approximate the original. This is worse than that Rotmulag mod that replaces Paarthurnax's voice. To replace with him with some pseudo Scottish guy is unfortunate. one of the few actual Scandinavian actors Bethesda got for the game and it's used nowhere else. The old actor for Hadvar was good as well as unique. like a bizarro counterpart to all of those times we helped the Empire in the beginning of TES games.Īlso the new Hadvar is a downgrade. It's very reminscent of running out of the prison with Uriel Septim. It's kind of interesting the angle Bethesda was originally going here. The real meat of this mod is in siding with Ralof and joining Ulfric a bit in the Keep. That said, it's cool that you can in fact hear Elenwen and Tullius actually arguing. The timing is a bit off when Ralof says "Look at him! He's with the Thalmor" or somesuch. when Tullius enters the gate and talks to Elenwen. ![]() Edited Septemby spaceodenĪgreed on too much talking. If it was a quiet easter egg only the most observant players could eavesdrop on, that would be a big improvement. I do really like the Elenwen conversation, but it's much too loud. I think most of what Beth cut didn't add anything, so it was a good idea to cut it. I think a much more conservative approach to this sort of mod would be more my speed. The author basically admitted to squeezing in as much as possible. I don't recall my experience with Helgen Keep, but I think it was less invasive than the cart scene additions. The Hadvar voice acting is top notch, though, gotta give em kudos for that. And while Ralof calling Elenwen a "thalmor *****" is lore-friendly, it's immersion breaking for me. They are twenty feet away from you but it sounds like they're yelling in your ear. They're awfully chatty for POWs on their way to their execution. With this mod your wagon-mates jump right into it the moment the game starts, before the fade in has even begun in the SSE version. Vanilla has a suitably solemn start, a few moments of silent contemplation while you the player take in the scenery.
